“Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.”
Although having a weekly date may seem like a no-brainer, many couples’ good intentions quickly get put off to some future time, when life is not so busy or there’s more money. Make a commitment to a weekly date. It doesn’t have to always be on the same night, but it’s helpful to pencil in one night each week on your calendars; you can always change the night if a conflict comes up.
Here are a few tips below that go beyond the usual dinner and a movie and many involve little or no cost. Not all dates have to involve going out, but if you have young children, getting a break from the kids is a stress release in itself. Getting a babysitter, however, may not be so easy, but Lord’s will there is a way.
We are currently amid a global pandemic. Covid-19/Coronavirus/The Rona has many of us home. Together, and for way more than the couple of hours like we are used to. This is real. This is happening. The man you are married to, your head, your lord, is now in your presence for potentially up to 24hours a day. Do you know him? Does he know you?
