How did you come into the truth?

Learn from our sisters from around the world as they learn about the truth and how they came in.

Ecclesiastes 9:10
"Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest."
  1. Stop holding on to your talents. (Figure out what percentage you need to give of it)
  2. Stop making excuses. (We all cut corners from time to time but don’t make it a habit)
  3. Are you giving your best each and every day?
  4. Are you ALWAYS rehearsing the righteous acts? (You need to practise at it)
  5. Why do you think you’re not giving important matters your all?
  6. Have you lost your passion and zeal?
Passion: strong and barely controllable emotion:
Every time you don’t apply yourself 100%, you’re leaving room for the devil.

1. You are too comfortable (you take things for granted. you may be too prideful and complacent) When you get in the wilderness you may end up the one complaining and being put to death.
Exodus 16:3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.
James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
While we’re in the land of our captivity- we need to have PATIENCE.

PATIENCE: the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset. synonyms: forbearance, tolerance, restraint, self-restraint, calmness, composure, understanding, perseverance, persistence, endurance, tenacity, assiduity, application, staying power

Luke 14:28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
When you first got married or came into this truth you had zeal and where happy. Now as time has past you fell off. Give 100% to YOUR LORD & THE TRUTH.
A lot of times people come into the truth and you think they believe and will endure til the end-THEN THEY LEAVE. The SAME can happen to YOU if you don’t give 100% to your responsibilities in the congregation, your marriage, & your sisters
Ladies, we like “stuff” but the scriptures say to beware of these things. Don’t be so selfish to not give your things to others.

2. You have a bad attitude! If you have a bad attitude you won’t have the DESIRE to give 100%. You will automatically do things half done.
This type of person CAN’T be nice. They end up being full of envy, strife, and hatred. Are you the sister that has a reputation of having a bad, stank attitude? Are you a kill joy?
1 John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
If you SAY you keep the commandments but your ACTIONS, your WORKS don’t display that. YOU’RE A LIAR. We need to always examine ourselves to checking to see what percentage we are putting forth
James 1:19-20 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
If you know you have a habit of having a bad attitude and you are slow to get angry and slow to speak-this can give you more time to think better causing you to give a better response. Bad attitudes are contagious
Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
If you’re around a sister that friendly you will also take on her trait If your are the sister with the screwed up face, this may be WHY you can’t give 100%
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ***You can repent and change all bad attitudes.
Galatians 5:22-23 fruits of the spirit But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. ***These are individual traits that are lacking if you have a bad attitude. WORK ON IT! PRACTICE each one of these. Ask yourself what percent of each fruit you are displaying? Having a bad attitude is caused by negative thinking.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
You have to believe that you can change and that TMH will help you.

3. Because you DON’T CARE! Lack of care can creep up on you during the course of time. If you’re not doing the things that you did in the beginning slowly your faith will falling apart. You will eventually give up because you stop giving 100%.
Hebrews 12:1-3 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

There WILL always going to be trials during your walk (Sirach 2). So if you are giving this race ALL your efforts to prepare (study), you are NOT going to give up. You are automatically going to follow the law in each situation because you were pro-active. Don’t depend on others to share your 100% with you. We are in this race ourselves. We can’t blame others for where we lack. Ask yourself What am I doing? Where am I lacking? If you’re hurt, the scriptures are here to heal you. This is sufficient for us all.
2 Peter 3:8-9 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Just like The Most High isn’t slack, we shouldn’t be either! If you saw a piece of paper on the floor and you walk over it? It is the same, if every time you don’t greet your Lord or Shalom your sisters, YOU ARE SAYING SOMETHING WITHOUT actually saying it. You’re showing it in your ACTIONS.

4. You’re scared of failure! Are you claiming your “trying” yet your actions display that you’re not. You have to TRY TRY TRY.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
We have to have a sound mind. JUST GO FOR IT! Even if you mess up. Put forth your effort! Even if you burn the chicken! 🙂 AT LEAST YOU TRIED.
John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. Ask TMH and put forth your effort
James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Not leaning on TMH, will cause you to not give 100%. Your leaning on your own thoughts and that’s why you’re falling short. We NEED direction from TMH. We need to KNOW that 1 Corinthians 11 is a blessing. All we have to do is follow.

  5. You aren’t hungry! Make sure you have aspirations that stretch your limits! If you’re not giving 100% you are only fooling yourself
1 Peter 2:2  As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
We have to start this walk off like a literal baby with the basics. Start with number 1 before
you jump to 15. You should be growing DAILY. Your experiences change you constantly as you grow in this truth.
If you are not feeding your spirit, you’re going to make excuses why you are malnutrition & not equipped to sustain.
Deuteronomy 8:3
And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.
We can’t live only by taking in literal food but we NEED spiritual food also
Matthew 5:6  Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
You should be thirsting for this truth of THE MOST HIGH word.
1 Peter 5:2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
The elder’s job is to feed us spiritually but if you’re not giving 100% you won’t be hungry enough to receive the spiritual food that’s being given.

ASK QUESTIONS. If you’re starving spiritually then it’s your OWN fault. What efforts are you putting out there?
Effort: a vigorous or determined attempt;strenuous physical or mental exertion.
synonyms: exertion, energy, work, endeavor, application, labor, power, muscle, toil, strain
You can claim ALL DAY that you have passion, but guess what, you HAVE to do the work.
It must be seen in your efforts.

If you say you want to be a good a mother and you don’t do anything to back it up. Where’s the proof that you have passion in it?
Think-If you have had passion for something, what type of efforts did you put for in achieving what you wanted?
