There are great expectations of a repented Israelite women. As and Israelite woman, who is preparing who may be preparing herself for marriage, ask yourself, “Am I cleave worthy?" The scriptures tell us in Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. Am I truly prepared, and doing all that I could? Am I the dragon constantly breathing flames of dissension or have the qualities of one in the making?
To the already married: To .be the princess that your lord once saw or sees in you is very simple. We should always ask ourselves, "How does my lord view me?" One may even go a step further by asking him "What can I do better?" The worldly woman's mindset would not dare do this because she was taught to either be independent (I can do it myself) or that if he wanted what she had (use what your mama gave you) he had better obey her. This is the mindset we must change by applying the scriptures, then locking that worldly woman in a box and throwing away the key. We must also remember passion soon fades, this is the reason why we are instructed to not marry for lust Tobit 8:7. Learning and becoming that one flesh makes us cleave-worthy. It’s the growth we must not only strive for, but yearn to have as a princess towards our lord.
Continuous self-examination will help us stay focused. 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? We all have our moments where we have found that we were not in the spirit. The key is to know when we are feeling this way and auto-correcting it. Remembering that body language speaks just as loud as words.
A woman that tears down her house verses building it is foolish Proverbs 14:1. Have you ever heard the saying ‘you catch more flies with honey than vinegar?’ Well this is even true in our marriages. Be his help mate, encourage- build him up, respect him. Truly love him flaws and all. Understanding that where he is weak is exactly where we must be strong. The same way we don’t want a lion in the house we MUST not be a dragon in the house.
God has called us to live in peace, we should want peace and not strife. Especially, understanding that there will be trouble in the flesh, don't be the cause of unnecessary issues (remain blameless). Instead, build, so that when those troubles do arise, you are not hasty for a way out. (1 Peter 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you). Separation and divorce are already so common among our nation. It’s when we apply the scriptures and keep these laws that the dragon cannot be unleashed.
Being cleave worthy is an ongoing process. Learning from past mistakes and each other only ensures growth. Always seek God’s face and counsel in all matters because through, this we build a strong nation. Our men already have so much on them. Let’s be that pillar they lean on and want to come home to by applying the scriptures and being that princess he sees or once saw in us.
